Bathrooms with Imagination

You might not necessarily want to theme your own bathroom quite as extravagantly as Jania Bee from San Francisco's Potrero Hill, but you can certainly take inspiration from her work. The wonderful 'Gaudi Submarine' bathroom is imaginative, colourful, and simply breathtaking.

This is a bathroom that has been described as the 'Yellow Submarine crash-lands on Gaudi's beach house in 'Brazil' (the Movie)'

The 'Yellow submarine' freestanding bath has been painted yellow with images of the fab four looking out from small portholes. The bath is enhanced with a gold traditional bath/shower mixer and gold bath rack.

The incredible images on the wall are made up of thousands of small mosaics in the style of Spanish architect and genius Antoni Gaudi.

Close-up attention to detail is remarkable and hugely impressive .

Other rooms in the house have been given similar treatment. Jania bought the property in 1997 and invited her friends and fellow artists to come and stay, play and help with the evolving decor . Read more about her private residence / communal art project here.
